When the eighth child, Willie Dyson, was born in December 1871 in 
Louisiana, his father, Isaac, was 47 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 41.  
He had four brothers and three sisters with one more to arrive about 
five years later. He married Lucy Burkhalter in 1889.

Willie was listed in the 1880 Census with his parents and siblings. 
In the 1900 Census, Willie - 28, and his wife of 11 years, Lucy - 29, 
were renting a farm in Ward 2 of Washington Parish with their 6 
children.

Willie and Lucy’s descendants include 7 children, 56 grandchildren…
